Plant spares and machined components supply
Bearings, pillow blocks, couplings, idler frames, valves, slings and machined spares supplied to drawing or part number against a single order, with material certification and a quality control plan where the client requires one.
Most plant orders are not one item: a pulley order also needs bearings, plummer blocks, adaptor sleeves and couplings, and a maintenance scope needs the valves, slings and consumables to go with it. Umbusso Engineers supplies plant spares and machined components against a single purchase order, sourced from established rotating-equipment and conveyor component distributors or manufactured on our own CNC machines, with material certificates retained in the order file.
On the conveyor pulley order we supplied pillow blocks, spherical roller bearings, adaptor sleeves, gate valves, idler frames, wire rope slings and grid couplings alongside the eighteen pulleys, all marked and tagged to the purchase order line items. We are a registered Eskom vendor and a registered Transnet vendor, and we are registered on the Central Supplier Database.

- Machined spares — shafts, bushes, sleeves, spacers — manufactured on Umbusso-owned CNC machines.

Standards, quality and documentation
Items are supplied to the client’s drawing, part number or specification with the manufacturer’s or material certificate where required, marked and tagged to the purchase order, and inspected before dispatch. Where the order runs under a quality control plan the spares are included in the plan and the data book.

Conveyor pulley manufacture
Eighteen conveyor pulleys manufactured to Eskom drawing under a quality control plan counter-signed by Eskom Quality Assurance before manufacture began, together with bearings, pillow blocks, idler frames and drive components.

Can you supply OEM-equivalent parts with certificates?
Yes, with the manufacturer’s certificate or material certificate as your specification requires. Where we manufacture the item ourselves, the material certificate and dimensional inspection record are supplied.
Do you hold stock?
We source against the order from our supply partners and manufacture machined items to demand; lead times are quoted per item.
